This was made for my mother's 80th birthday using Cotton Fleece yarn - less than 3 skeins - and it fits her beautifully. I don't have a picture of her modeling it yet, but hopefully I will soon and I'll post it then. Everyone in my knitting group LOVED this garment and I feel it was very successful. 
For my 10 year old grandaughter's 11th birthday, knit from Sockotta and 6/0 beads. 52 stitches on #0 dpns with the beads inserted via crochet hook at the color changes. SO CUTE!
Finished at long last - blocked out at 22" x 84".
Weight 3.4 oz/ 97 gms in fine 2-ply Australian wool.
My normal pattern. Double strands of Cascade 220 and Paton's Classic Merino.
I was unable to locate glass pony beads locally, so decided to try the plastic ones and much to my surprise, they worked out well, and were MUCH cheaper. Got them at Michael's in a mixed bag of colors.
Felted after one complete cycle. including the spin and rinse.

All three pairs were knit on our boat trip to Ocracoke, NC. Two left socks are made of Sockotta yarn and the brown one is handpaint Opal.
Left: Toe up with Priscilla Gibson-Roberts' short row heel and some little picots on edge. (Cast on 2 stitches and bind off 4 around.)
Middle: My normal toe up dutch heel with grafted cast off.
Right: Maple Leaf pattern from Jeanie Townsend. Knit top down.

Added a few beads for some sparkle. I think I'm done tweaking the bag and am pretty pleased with it. It is quite thick.
Color Blox Sox from Six Sox KAL. The striped is Trekking XXL and the salmon is Lang Jawoll. Knit on #0 dpns, 64 st. I am a toe-up sock knitter, normally, but I have never done the garter stitch cuff, and it is very nice, particularly with striped yarn.
The next sock is the "Fanning the Flames" sock. It fits very well, which suprised me. After knitting half the sock, I realized that I could use both ends of the yarn to knit successive fans, which cut the number of ends to weave in by half! I love it.
This is a pretty interesting way to make socks, but I don't think I'll make another pair. Also I'm concerned about the longevity of these guys. Using #1 dpns with Twinkletoes from Joslyn's Fiberfarm.
Shetland Triangle by Evelyn Clark from Wrap Style. Total weight is 0.8 oz of very fine cobweb wool knit on #5 US needles. 40" wide x 25" long.
Bind off with double yarn, using Nancy Bush's Estonian Lace bind off and #6 US needles.
First use of lace blocking wires and they are WONDERFUL.

Three skeins of Cotton Fleece. Size L. Added another inch to length and knit straight down with no shaping.
Started out with long-tail cast on and it seems stretchy enough. I was careful to allow some space between cast on stitches on the needle.
This is a great design, but the directions are poorly written.
From Nancy Bush's Estonian Lace workshop which I took a couple of weeks ago. The sample was knit in Joslyn's Fiberfarm Twinkletoes natural sock yarn (wool and mohair) with size 3 needles, and measures about 6 inches across.
A stitch called a nupp is called for in the lily of the valley flower section.
Bound off with double yarn.
Here it is with the final touches on it. It is adorable. Final width: 10". Height: 7". Used part of 3 skeins, and have enough for one more.
