Midnight Evening Bag by Noni

This is the cutest thing imaginable! It is made for my youngest granddaughter who is having her first communion on Sunday. The second picture shows the scale compared to my larger everyday felted bag.

On another note, I just figured out how to insert links into posts without using the raw html. I simply needed to switch to another browser! I normally use Safari for the Mac, but it didn't show a link insertion tool, but Firefox works! So now I will be able to add links!! I love it! Now I can credit other talented people on the web when I use their ideas!!

Frank's Felted Clogs

No wonder these clogs are so popular - they're so much fun and warm. Pattern is Felt Clogs AC-33 from Fiber Trends and purchased from knittingzone.com, one of my favorite online retailers. I used Paton's Classic Merino in black and gray, and used two skeins of black and about one total of gray. They were put into service immediately after they were dry.

Felted Bag with Feathers

Two-color houndstooth plaid pattern with a great feather boa I found at Hancock Fabrics for only $2.99, and I have a lot of the feathers left over!!! I already tested the boa in water to see if it is at all washable and it didn't seem to affect it much.

The bag is from Noni's Bags pattern for the evening bags. It is not currently lined since I was unable to find a suitable fabric on my first try.

It measures a little larger than 8" x 10" after felting.Posted by Picasa

Felted Buttonhole Clutches

My normal pattern. Double strands of Cascade 220 and Paton's Classic Merino.

I was unable to locate glass pony beads locally, so decided to try the plastic ones and much to my surprise, they worked out well, and were MUCH cheaper. Got them at Michael's in a mixed bag of colors.

Felted after one complete cycle. including the spin and rinse.

These are destined for my grandaughters. Posted by Picasa

Tweaking Flower with Beads

Added a few beads for some sparkle. I think I'm done tweaking the bag and am pretty pleased with it. It is quite thick. Posted by Picasa

Aoife's Bag

Which one is better?

Is it better without the flower?

Or with the flower?? Doesn't the flower look like a Ripple potato chip?? Posted by Picasa

Cute, Isn't it?

Here it is with the final touches on it. It is adorable. Final width: 10". Height: 7". Used part of 3 skeins, and have enough for one more. Posted by Picasa

Bermuda Bag Completed

Handspun, and knitted into a bag with handles which I didn't like so the handles were cut off and the bag was attached to handles I found at Minks to Sinks for $2.00. It looks shapeless here but is really quite nice.
