Finally Another Post

I have been busy with a multitude of projects, and I'm just starting to finish some up. This shawl is from the Evenstar KAL on ravelry, and designed by Susan Pandorf who is one amazing designer. I have knit one of her designs before: the Iris Scarf.

This one uses about 1100 yards of fine cashmere lace yarn, in black, and is heavily beaded around the edge with some iris colored topaz 8/0 seed beads. I have so far failed at taking a true color picture of those beads. Sigh. But it is a lovely piece and blocked out about 60" in diameter.

Cindy, that is absolutely spectacular. I thought this before, but blocked out, it takes on a whole different dimension. Really beautiful. I love it over the white.

Oh my... Cindy... this shawl is scrumptious! It looks like a rose window! I used to have my students create mandalas and I would have loved to show them this exquisite example.
We're back floatin on the boat -- hooray -- but today it's only 55!! We left weather in the high 90s. Didn't like that much either. Sunshine yesterday... so it's possible!
Again... congrats... you are amazing!
